Obituary for SAUNIER

Albert F. Saunier, 83, a resident of Rio Rancho since 1972, came to New Mexico from Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2003. Albert was born September 29, 1920 the son of Frank and Julia Mary Frank Saunier in Harrisburg, Ohio. He had been a carpenter and had worked for AMREP for over 20 years before retiring. Albert was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. He belonged to the Men's Bowling League. His family was his main hobby. He loved to play cards, horseshoes and gardening. Al was a model of respect and honor. Al was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; and a brother. He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 62 years, Mary L. Saunier; three children, Nancy Cordova and the late Frank Cordova, Ray Saunier and wife, Julie, and Jim Saunier and wife, Susan; grandchildren, Randy, Tammy, Craig, Brian, Shannon, Deanna, Chris, Jennifer, Jimmy and Justin and their spouses; and 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, Larry Saunier; numerous nieces and nephews. He was a wonderful uncle. A special Thank You to Presbyterian Hospice for all their care and loving support. The Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12, 2003 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 13, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Rio Rancho. Entombment will follow in Vista Verde Memorial Park.
