Maggie Amorous passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 28, 2003, in Albuquerque. Born in San Diego on January 30, 1912, she was the daughter of Herb and Alice (Kilty) Barnum. She attended schools in San Diego and Immaculate Heart College in San Antonio, Texas. In 1932, she married William W. Amorous in San Antonio. She is survived by her loving children, Bill (Betsy) Amorous of Santa Fe, Angela (Don) Lodin of Santa Ana, California, Martin Amorous of Huntsville, Texas and Isabel (Jeff Greinke) Amorous of Tucson, Arizona; eight grandchildren; and three great-granddaughters. The family lived in seven states during Col. Amorous' service in the US Army Air Corps and later the USAF, eventually settling in Albuquerque in the early 1950's. Maggie volunteered as a Gray Lady during WWII; as a counselor for AA; and at St. Francis Home.
