Obituary for JOYCE

Frances Docia Joyce, long-time resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away October 4, 2003, after a long illness. She was born on December 30, 1930, in Ralls, Texas. She grew up in lubbock, Texas, before moving to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1951. During the 60's she was very active in Babe Ruth and Connie Mack Baseball. Before retirement , she owned a book store in Rio Rancho and was an avid reader. She was a Baptist by faith. She is survived by her husband, Frank Joyce, who was a longtime KOB Sports Announcer; two son, Ronnie of Albuquerque and Kelly of Rowe, New Mexico; one sister, Mary Winchell and her husband, Howard, of Kalamazoo, Michigan; one brother, Dewey McMillan and his wife, Dot, of Needville, Texas; three grandchildren, Brian Joyce and his wife, Tina of Sterling, Colorado, Kyle Joyce of State College, Pennsylvania, and Chad Joyce of Albuquerque, New Mexico; two great-grandchildren, Dalton and Regan Kate of Sterling, Colorado; and former daughter-in-law, Brenda Joyce. Funeral Services have been scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 8 2003 at the Ballard Chapel. A Baptist Minister will officiate. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery, Roswell, New Mexico. Arrangements will be made by Ballard Funeral Home in Roswell, New Mexico.
