Donald L. Olmsted, 56, a resident of Madrid, New Mexico, died Friday, September 26, 2003. He is survived by his parents, Lee and Eva Olmsted of Albuquerque and cousins, Frederick S. Hird, Jr. and Shirley McKinney. Donald was born in Des Moines, IA. He was a veteran having served in the US Navy from 1967 to 1971. Mr. Olmsted previously lived in Albuquerque since 1971, until he moved to Madrid four years ago where he purchased a store there. Graveside services will be held Monday, 3:00 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery with Pastor Lemuel Boyles officiating.
