J. Mike Maestas, 53, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away September 27, 2003. He is survived by his wife of three years, Benita Maestas; daughter, Paula Maestas-Adams and husband, Mike and granddaughter, Alyssa; son, Michael Maestas; stepsons, Tyler and Travis Swisher; brothers, Steve Maestas and wife, Noreen, David Maestas, Paul Maestas and wife, Camelia, and Gerald Maestas; sisters, Cecilia Lucero and husband, Louis, Theresa Maestas and Jessica Hargrove. Mike was a graduate of the University of New Mexico with a degree in architecture, and spent his life working in the banking industry. He served the community by being on several boards, including the Anderson School of Management and New Mexico Zoological Society. Mike was an avid golfer with a six handicap. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 2, 2003, 2:00 p.m., at Calvary Chapel, 4001 Osuna Rd NE. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
