Manuel A Torrez passed away Saturday September 20, 2003 at the age of 79. Manuel was born May 2, 1924 in Peralta New Mexico. He and his loving wife Mary Lee lived in Albuquerque and have been married for 54 years. Manuel served in the US Army as a gunner in WWII. He retired from the Santa Fe Rail Road as well as APS. Manuel is proceeded in death by his mother and father, Maria and Julian Torrez, his son, Philimeno. He is survived by his wife, Mary; his sons, Jesse and wife, Bessie, Manuel Torrez Jr. His daughters, Rita Martinez and husband, Michael, Barbara Ashleigh-Phear and husband, David. His grandchildren, Jessie, Manuel III, Stephanie, Mary, Julian, and Nicholas and five great-grandchildren Services will be announced by: Salazar and Sons Mortuary 400 Third Street S.W. 247-4124
