Obituary for CADIEUX

Betty Jane Cadieux, 81, a resident of Albuquerque since 1984, died suddenly on Wednesday, September 17, 2003. She is survived by daughters, Carol Cadieux of Albuquerque, and Nancy Cadieux-Schreiner and husband, Tim of Lakewood, CO.; grand-pets, Roy, Keefer and Patticakes; brother, Griffin Chalfant and wife, Kay of Georgia; honorary son, Craig Mobley of Albuquerque; nephews, Griffin Jr., Steve, and Flip Chalfant of Georgia; and brother-in-law, Richard Cadieux of New York. Betty Jane owned Frank's Shoe Store in Willimantic, CT for 10 years. After moving to Albuquerque she worked in the Winrock Shopping Center food court for 8 years. Betty Jane was a member of the Eastern Star and Beta Sigma Phi, and was very involved in Democratic politics. She watched C-Span like some people watch soap operas. She loved to play Scrabble and was a championship golfer. Betty Jane touched many lives and lived to make people laugh, she entertained many patrons with her jokes and stories, and she would often brighten a room with her laugh and smile. Memorial Services will be held Tuesday, 4:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel.
