Mary Eugenia "Gina" Miera Barker, 54, a life-long resident Albuquerque, died Friday, September 19, 2003. She is survived by her mother, Dell Baca Miera; sister, Loretta Miera Huenefeld and her husband, LeRoy and their children, Kristy and Jami; Aunt, Josina Chimenti; Lena and her children, Ronald, Debbie, and Ann ; and many other cousins. She also leaves behind her beloved dog and companion, Georgie. She was preceded in death by her father, Joe S. Miera; sister, Agnes "Amy" Ireland; and nephew, Jeremy Joseph Huenefeld. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 23, 2003 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Haines Chapel, 5709 Haines Ave. NE. In lieu of flowers, it was Gina's wish that Teddy Bears be brought to the service, so that they may be donated to the Albuquerque Police Department for their Buddy Bear program, which provides bears for children in trauma situations.
