Joe "Black" Prieto, 55, a 31- year resident of Albuquerque, died Monday, September 15, 2003. He is survived by his parents, Manuel and Natividad Prieto of Albuquerque; brothers, Ben Prieto and wife, Carmen of Albuquerque, Ruben Prieto and wife, Frances, Albert Prieto and Manuel Prieto Jr. and wife, MaryAnn, all of Albuquerque; sister, MaryAnn Garcia and husband, Raul of El Paso, TX; five nephews; and three nieces. Rosary will be recited Wednesday, September 17, 2003, 5:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel. Mass will be celebrated Thursday, September 18, 2003, 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, Lomas at Tennessee NE, with Father Edward C. Domme, Celebrant and Deacon James Delgado assisting. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gil Carrillo, Randy Garcia, Rudy Ortega, Michael Flores, Jerry Barros, and Raul Garcia. Honorary pallbearers will be Ruben John Prieto, Jacob Paul Prieto, Armando Hector Prieto, Marcos Joaquin Prieto, and Michael Joseph Prieto.
