Gertrude "Trudy" Baber, 91, a resident of Albuquerque; passed away on September 10, 2003. She was born in Clinton, MO on March 2, 1912 and moved with her family to Colorado. Gertrude married Carroll Stuart Baber on November 20, 1937. She lived in Virginia before she moved to Rio Rancho, New Mexico in 2000 and was a current resident of Acantilado Vista Retirement Community. Gertrude is survived by four children, Sue Kirby, James Baber of Virginia, Carol Baber of Arizona and John Baber of Rio Rancho; six grandchildren, Kara Valdiviezo, Marcia Apperson, Cora Kirby, Stuart Baber, Daniel Baber and Austin Baber; three great-grandchildren, Justin and Brandon Doss and Brianna Valdiviezo. Memorial service will be held on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Acantilado Vista Retirement Community, 920 Riverview Dr. SE, Rio Rancho, NM with Ron Komatz, officiating.
