Obituary for Skinner

George Harry Skinner, 67, a lifetime resident of Albuquerque and the East Mountain area, died on Sunday, March 15, 1998. He is survived by his wife, Alyce Skinner of Tijeras, NM; daughters, Cheri Skinner, Sandy Richards and husband, Roger, Susie Martin and husband, Paul, and Amy Smith and husband, Tim, all of Tijeras, NM; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, Kenneth Skinner of AZ, Earl Skinner of Albuquerque, and Leonard Skinner of Silver City; and sisters, Bertha Gallegos of Los Lunas, Ethel Owensby of AL, Eleanor Miller of Albuquerque, Mae Adams of Albuquerque, Kathie Matthews of NV, Janet Winter of Albuquerque, and Donna Keller of Ft. Sumner. He was preceded in death by his son, Steven Harry Skinner. Mr. Skinner was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served in the United States Marine Corps. He owned and operated Skinner Sign Service, and was an exceptional artist. He was much loved and will be dearly missed."We love you Papa." Services will be held Wednesday, March 18, 1998 at 11:00 a.m. at San Antonito Catholic Church, Cedar Crest, NM with Deacon Jose Escandon officiating. Interment will take place at 3:00 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, New Mexico. French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE.
