Ignacio Sanchez, 87, a resident of Jarales, NM, passed away on December 28, 1998. He was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Ignacio was born on April 25, 1911. He was retired from the Santa Fe Railroad after 32 years. He was a very active participant with the Senior Citizens prior to his illness. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Lucinda on August 31, 1998; his daughter, Sally Sanchez; and his son, Frank Sanchez. Ignacio is survived by his daughter, Lucy Flis and her husband, Greg of Denver, CO; three sons, Danny R. Sanchez of the family home in Jarales, Eddie O. Sanchez of Barstow, CA, and Ignacio R. Sanchez, Jr. of Peralta, NM. Ignacio is also survived by eight grandchildren. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., at Romero Funeral Home. Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the parish cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joe Castillo, Alfred Sanchez, Eric Griego, Angela Flis, Yvonne Sanchez, and Rosalie Griego. Romero Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
