Gabriella (Lela) M. Santillanez passed away Wednesday, October 7, 1998. She was born to Abel and Margarita Pacheco on March 25, 1925. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alex; brothers, Jose and Fernando Pacheco; parents, Margarita and Abel. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Montoya and husband, Percy; grandchildren, Michael, Michelle and Matthew Montoya, Paul Thurston and wife, Marilyn; great-grandchildren, Theresa and Korey Robles, Adrian Montoya and Ricky Thurston. Also surviving are her brother, Juan Pacheco; sisters, Lola Nieto, Belle Robles and husband, Phil; sisters-in-law, Finita Santillanez, Adelina Fuentes and husband, Joe; numerous nieces and nephews who she regarded as sons and daughters; many friends and neighbors, especially Minnie Tolbert. She will be greatly missed. We'll miss you, Nana, We love you! Pallbearers are Michael Montoya, Matthew Montoya, Phil Pacheco, Joe Pacheco, Rupert Martinez, Rickard Hults. Honorary pallbearers are Richard Montoya, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A Rosary will be held this evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, 10:00 a.m., at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited by Louie and Bessie Casias, music by Kathy Fresquez Chavez. Music at the Funeral Mass by Bruce Reid. Many thanks to all for your love and support, Nana loved you all!
