Elsa Smith Thompson died August 25, 1998 in a local care center. She was a longtime resident of Albuquerque and loved New Mexico. She was a librarian in several library systems in Albuquerque, but spent most of her career with the Albuquerque City Libraries. Mrs. Thompson was born May 4, 1898, in Chicago, IL. She was married to Robert L. Thompson, who is deceased. She is survived by nieces, nephews and cousins. No services were held. Memorial contributions may be made to the Albuquerque City Libraries.
