Ramon E. Chavez, 82, a resident of Bosque, NM, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 1998. He was a member of the Catholic Church. Ramon was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served his country during World War II. Ramon was preceded in death by his eight brothers and sisters. He is survived by one sister, Bernardita Gutierrez of Casa Colorada, NM. Ramon is also survived by his many loving nieces and nephews. Viewing will be held on Monday, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Romero Funeral Home, followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, 10:00 a.m., at the Cristo Rey Catholic Church in Bosque, NM. Interment will follow in the Bosque Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Armando and Tony Chavez, Ronald and Gilbert Gutierrez, Aaron Perea and Tim Gonzales. Romero Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
