Obituary for Sluga

Hester Sluga, 84, a resident of Albuquerque for 50 years, died Sunday, August 23, 1998. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Joseph L. Sluga of Albuquerque; sons, Donald L. Sluga and wife, Carolyn of Windsor, CO and Harold Sluga and wife, Kay of Espanola; grandsons, Shane Sluga and wife, Gena of Phoenix, AZ, and Ronney Sluga and wife, Karen of Rio Rancho; granddaughter, Tambra Nash and husband, John of Albuquerque; great-granddaughter, Megan Sluga; and great-grandsons, Jeff Nash and John Nash; sister, Ruth Brozovich and husband, Paul of Albuquerque; several nieces and nephews, cousins and other family members. Mrs. Sluga worked 20 years for Zales Corp. managing the Mindlin Stores for them. She was a member of the Eastern Star in Dawson, NM. Mrs. Sluga was also a member of Christ United Methodist Church. Services will be held Wednesday, 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Rev. Larry Castillo-Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Pallbearers will be Shane Sluga, Ronney Sluga, John Nash, Gary Atwood, Steve Atwood and Mark Brozovich. Honorary pallbearers will be Ed Marinsek and Clinton Atwood. Should friends desire memorial contributions may be made to the Albuquerque Christian Children's Home, 5700 Winter Haven Rd. NW, 87120.
