Mr. Charlie P. Gutierrez Jr., age 38, went to be with Our Lord on Saturday. He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Gutierrez. Charlie was a loving husband, father, son, grandfather, uncle and brother. He is survived by his father, Charlie Gutierrez; mother, Vera Gutierrez; wife of 18 years of marriage, Cathy Gutierrez; sons, Charlie James Gutierrez and Peter Michael Gutierrez; daughter, Monique Marie Gutierrez; brother, Rudy Gutierrez; sisters, Marie Gutierrez and Theresa Vigil; grandchild, Janessa Monique Guerrero; grandparents, Sally Martinez and Della Gutierrez; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, family members and friends. Funeral Services for Mr. Gutierrez will be held on Wednesday at the Salazar & Sons Mortuary where the service will begin at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Lawrence Martinez, Luther Martinez, Sammy Martinez, Ray E. Maez, Robert Gutierrez and Danny Guerrero Sr. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Baca and Isidro Martinez. A Prayer Service for Mr. Gutierrez will be held on Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m. at the Salazar & Sons Mortuary, 400 3rd St. SW.
