Obituary for Garvey

Mildred B. Garvey, 83, a resident of Los Lunas, passed away on August 21, 1998 in an Albuquerque Hospital. She was a member of the Latter Day Saint Church in Los Lunas. She was born in Moulton, Alabama and has lived in Los Lunas since 1979. Mildred loved to write poetry; all of her children as well as her church knew of her talent in poetry. She loved all of her children, but her grandchildren were her inspiration and she loved them dearly. Mildred was preceded in death by her first husband, Virgil Price Richardson; and her second husband, John R. Garvey. She is survived by her three sons, Fred Richardson and his wife, Betty of Los Lunas, Kenneth Richardson and his wife, Rosemary of Los Lunas, Carl Richardson and his wife, Patricia of Las Vegas, NV; two daughters, Joyce Holloway of Cullman, Alabama, and Joan Moody of Los Lunas; three sisters, Mabel Latham of Trinity, Alabama, Agnes Long and her husband, Bill of Cullman, Alabama, and Ruth Pruitt of Buffalo, NY; one brother, Orville Ragan and wife, Juanita of Birmingham, Alabama; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Viewing will be held on Monday from 9:30-10:00 a.m. at Romero Funeral Home, followed by Funeral Services at 10:00 a.m. also at Romero Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Terrace Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Romero Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
