Mary J. Bates, 69, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 1998 after losing her battle with breast cancer. Mary is survived by her husband, Frederick E. Bates; mother, Helen M. Pasquette; daughters, Barbara S. Hinds, and Nancy S. Bates; son, Frederick J. Bates; two grandchildren, Helen M. Bates and Benjamin Bates. Services will be held at Queen of Angels Chapel at I-40 and 12th Street on Tuesday, August 25, 1998 at 7:30 PM. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to"People Living thru Cancer" in her memory at 323 8th St. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87102. Cremation arrangements by Sunrise Society.
