Obituary for Hobson

Evelyn M. Hobson, 76, formerly of Albuquerque, New Mexico, died Thursday, September 10, in Memphis, Tennessee of congestive heart failure. She was the daughter of the late Stanley and Clara Pronz of Stevens Point. She was raised in Stevens Point and attended the Teacher's College. She was a retired homemaker and lived in Albuquerque for the past nine years. In 1986, while residing in Hot Springs, Arkansas, she received a Certificate of Recognition for her volunteer services from then-governor Bill Clinton. Her hobbies were travel and writing short stories. She leaves a daughter, Sandra Hobson of Memphis; two sons, Ronald Hobson of Minocqua, Wis., and Gerald Hobson of Stevens Point; four sisters, Carolyn Roshak of Milwaukee, Rosemarie Beiring of Daytona Beach, Fla., Clare Anderson of Fort Myers, Fla., and Patricia Woock of Philadelphia, PA; a brother, Roy Pronz of Tampa, Fla.; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and one infant son. The family asks that any donations be made to the Church Health Center, 1210 Peabody, Memphis, TN 38104.
