Obituary for Wagner

Sara C. Kellogg (Nanny) Wagner, 100, died Tuesday, September 8, 1998. She is survived by her son, Robert B. Wagner and wife, Myrtle of Anchorage, AK; daughters, Wanda Mae Higgins of Albuquerque, Wilma Fae Towns and husband, Edward of Monroe, NC, and Emma Jean Cobb and husband, James of Atlanta, GA; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Wagner homesteaded in Estancia Valley in 1906 and she had lived in Albuquerque, El Paso, and Jemez Springs since that time. For the past 25 years she was known and loved as"Nanny" at Hummingbird Music Camp in Jemez Springs. She was an accomplished interior decorator and a well known seamstress known for her fiesta dresses which she marketed nationally as Sara Lynn Originals. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Sunday, September 13, 1998, 4:00 p.m., at Hummingbird Music Camp's Rose Garden, Jemez Springs, NM, with Rev. Harry Chapman officiating.
