Obituary for Fryer

Rubye C. Fryer, 69, a resident of Albuquerque for 38 years, died Sunday, September 6, 1998 and has gone to be with the Lord. She is survived by her daughters, Sharron J. Szpunar and husband, Frank of Albuquerque and Gena S. Sampson and husband, Chris of Clarksville, TN; step-daughters, Carolyn Sperry and husband, Kirk of California, and Linda Burham and husband Bill of Arizona; grandchildren, Justinn, Todd, Chad and Rachel Szpunar of Albuquerque and Sean Sampson and wife, Melissa of Tennessee; step-grandchildren, Johnny Williams of California, Bubba Sperry of Kentucky, Melinda Dubuis of Arizona, Kevin Williams of Texas, Flavia Castleman of Arizona and Tom Castleman of Arizona; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Roger Jones of Arkansas, Bud Jones of Edgewood, Beacham Jones of Albuquerque and Leonard Jones of Lafayette, LA; and sisters, Lucille DiGiunta of Albuquerque, Lois Cole of Bowling Green, KY and Edna Flora of Bowling Green, KY. Rubye was preceded in death by her husband M. Fike Fryer; step-grandson, Bud Castleman; brothers, Roy and Raleigh Jones; and sister, Orene Leist. She was a member of the Montgomery Church of Christ, and when she was able, Rubye was an active Lioness in the Lions Club. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will de deeply missed by all who knew her. Services will be held Thursday, 1:00 p.m., at French Mortuary-Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Pastor Bruce Thweatt officiating. Pallbearers will be Sean Sampson, Justinn Szpunar, Chad Szpunar, Todd Szpunar, Chris Jones, Wayne Jones and Sal DiGiunta. Friends may visit Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. Entombment will follow at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum, Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE
