Obituary for Hastings

Zenos William"Bill" Hastings, 72, of Alamogordo, died Monday, August 31, 1998 at Gerald Champion Memorial Hospital in Alamogordo. Mr. Hastings was born March 20, 1926 in Butler, Oklahoma. He moved to Alamogordo in 1994 after living in Lubbock, Texas, Rio Rancho, and Albuquerque. He was a retired vice-president of sales and marketing for Tri-State Motor Transit Company. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps. Survivors include his wife, Lenore Hastings of the family home; three sons, William Richard Hastings of Chama, Robert Joel Hastings and his wife, Cathy of Austin, TX, James Arthur Hastings of Albuquerque; two daughters, Cheryl Joye Manson and her husband, Andy of Chama, and Carol Sue Wallis and her husband, Jay of Chama; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Raymond Ellis Hastings and his wife, Elna Mae of Worthington, IN, Arthur Truman Hastings and his wife, Ruth of Las Cruces, and Loyal Dee Hastings and his wife, Janice of Glendale, AZ; and two sisters, Mildred Genevieve Iverson and her husband, Halbert of Centerville, UT and Ina Wanabelle Iverson and her husband, Donald of Bountiful, UT. Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday, September 8, 11:00 a.m., at Sunset Memorial Park in Albuquerque with the Rev. Sam Sawyer and Loyal Hastings officiating. Services are under the direction of Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Home, 1334 N. Scenic Dr., Alamogordo.
