Obituary for Dufft

James Henry Dufft Jr., a resident of Rio Rancho for 22 years, passed away on September 2, 1998. Mr. Dufft was born in New York City on February 6, 1928 to James H. and Helen Dufft Sr. He is survived by his wife, Barbara of the family home in Rio Rancho; daughter, Dorellen Dufft-Dejesus of Rio Rancho; and brother, Carl Dufft and wife, Doris of New York. Before retirement, Mr. Dufft was employed by the IRS as an auditor. He graduated from Roxbury High School in 1947, attended Muhlenberg College, graduated from Upsala College in New Jersey in 1959 and attended Rutgers Law School. He was a member of Sandoval Lodge #76, AF&AM, Scottish Right Valley of Rockville Center, Ballut ABYAD Shrine, Sons of American Revolution in Albuquerque, DAV in Rio Rancho, American Legion and Rio Rancho United Methodist Church. Visitation for Mr. Dufft will be held at Rio Rancho Funeral Home on Saturday, September 5, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with Funeral services being held at 2:00 p.m. at Rio Rancho United Methodist Church with Rev. Tim Neustifter officiating. Entombment will follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Rio Rancho United Methodist Church or the Shrine Hospital.
