Juan A. Martinez, 81, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 1998. He was born on April 7, 1917 in San Ysidro, NM to Jose and Eupelia Martinez. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Juan H. Martinez. He is survived by his ex-wife, Susie, of Albuquerque; one son, Jose and his wife, Bernadette; four daughters, Louise Amador and husband, Rudy, Patricia Pohl and husband, David, Christine Benavidez and Marvin Gonzales, Rose Mary Alexander and Joe Garcia; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Gloria Martinez; also surviving are three sisters, Trudy Martinez and husband, Ignacio, Cecilia Sanchez and husband, Johnny, and Josephine Garcia and husband, Aldofo; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitations will be held Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at San Ignacio Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Casket bearers will be D.J. Pohl, James Pohl, Christopher Benavidez, Charles Alexander, Rudy Amador and Michael Martinez.
