Jose de la Luz Sanchez, 92, a resident of Albuquerque since 1940 died Saturday, May 2, 1998. He is survived by his daughters, Margaret Baca and husband, Adiel, Emily Marquez and husband, Clyde, Lucy Trujillo, Inez Lucero, all of Albuquerque, Mary Ann Grubbs and husband, Bill, of Mesa, AZ, and Lupe Zamora and husband, Richard of Socorro, NM; sons Jose Sanchez, Jr. and David Sanchez, both of Albuquerque, grandson, Michael J. Sanchez and wife, Melanie of Albuquerque; 28 other grandchildren; 46 great-grand children; and six great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Frances Sanchez of Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gregorita R. Sanchez; son Carlos O. Sanchez; and daughter, Magdalena Sanchez. Mr. Sanchez was an active Foster Grandparent. Services will be held Tuesday, at 10:00 a.m. at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with his grandson, Pastor Frank T. Zamora officiating. Private disposition will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, on Monday, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
