Mrs. Tocha Gallegos, 88, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed on August 6, 1998 at home with her loved ones at her side. Mrs. Gallegos was preceded in death by her husband, Eustaquio Gallegos; her daughter, Pearl Gallegos Abeyta; and her son, Napoleon Gallegos. Mr. Gallegos is survived by three sons, Leroy Gallegos, Tony Gallegos and wife, Emma and Toby Gallegos; three daughters, Gloria Garcia and husband, Rafael, Roberta Sandoval and husband, Larry of Chula, CA, and Mary Valverde and husband, Thomas; one brother, Larry Candelaria and wife, Mildred of Duarte, CA; 27 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Gallegos was a member of the Catholic church. Visitation will be Sunday in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW, from 12:00 noon until 3:00 p.m. A Rosary will be recited Sunday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. in The Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 1860 Griegos Rd. NW, by Mrs. Gabriella Nieto. Final visitation will be Monday morning in the church from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. with Father Richard Olona. Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Gallegos, Tommy Valverde, Ralph Garcia Jr., Richard Garcia, Lonnie Gallegos, Tim Abeyta and Rick Abeyta. Honorary pallbearers will be Stacey Valverde, Jessica Valverde, Diane Abeyta, Peggy Barragan, Yvonne Vargas, Lisa Vargas, Sandra Baldonado, Anna Guerra, Carol Garcia and Regina Gallegos.
