Robert J. Lawler, 86, a resident of Rio Rancho, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 1998. He is survived by three daughters; two sons; two grandchildren; and one sister. He was a veteran of WWII, having served in the U.S. Army in the European Theatre. He was an avid golfer and a member of the American Legion for many years. No services are planned. A private family burial will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity. Cremation arrangements entrusted to Sunrise Society of New Mexico, 891-8200.
