Obituary for Barlett

Georgia Mae Barlett (Travis) Madson, a resident of Belen, passed away on November 6, 1998. Georgia was born on March 30, 1914 in Tulia, Swisher County, Texas to George Morgan and Cora Ellen Bartlett, she was a twin. She grew up in West Texas and married Guss Travis in 1930. To this union were three sons, Jimmie, Gayle, and Elton. Guss passed away in 1961. She married Jack Madson in 1956 and he passed away in 1985. She is preceded in death by her parents George and Cora Bartlett; brother, Bart Bartlett; sisters, Gayle Harold and Erma Green. Georgia is survived by her sons, Jimmie Travis, Gayle and his wife, Alice, Elton Travis and his wife, Leta; five grandchildren, Telease, Jimmie Kyle, Allen, Rhonda, and Pam; great-grandchildren, Brooke, Derek, Nathan, Travis and Ashli; her twin sister, Fay Mangum of Las Vegas, NV. She is also survived by many loving friends, nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, at 11:00 a.m. at Romero Funeral Home with Reverend Milford Misener officiating. Interment will follow at Terrace Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alan and Kyle Travis, Bob Ratisseau, Rick Johnson, Tom Blaine, Hermon Towner, and Bill Hedrick. Honorary pallbearers will be Leroy Huronymus, D.C. Jones, James Fort Jr.., T.J. Dodson, and Alvin Chick. Romero Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
