Obituary for Wasson

Eloy Wasson, 76, a lifelong resident of New Mexico, died Friday, December 25, 1998. He is survived by his wife, Molly Wasson of Albuquerque; sister, Rose Gonzales and husband, Reynaldo of Albuquerque; brothers, Arthur Wasson and wife, Mary, James Wasson and wife, Viola, and Joseph Wasson and wife, Josie all of Albuquerque; 10 nephews; three nieces; and 17 grand-nephews and nieces. Mr. Wasson, born and raised in Las Vegas, NM, moved to Albuquerque in 1955. He served during World War II in the U.S. Navy and retired from the NM State Highway Department in 1983 with over 30 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion Post #13 and Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Rosary will be recited Monday, 7:30 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Father Paul E. Baca reciting. Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, 10:00 a.m., at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, with Father Paul E. Baca, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Larry Gonzales, Michael Wasson, Thomas Wasson, Samuel Wasson, Joseph Wasson, Jr., and Jonathan Wasson. Honorary Pallbearers will be John Gonzales, Jim Patrick Wasson, Jerome Wasson and Richard Gonzales. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
