Beverly June Houston, 62, a resident of Albuquerque since 1972, died Thursday, December 24, 1998. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, James G. Houston of the family home; sons, James M. Houston and fiancee, Kristin Gonzales of Albuquerque and Thomas P. Houston and wife, Suzette of Albuquerque; grandsons, Benjamin R. Houston, Matthew P. Houston, Taylor M. Adkins, and Tracy J. Adkins; brother-in-law, Michael Houston of Memphis, TN; uncle, Lyle Christensen and wife, Sharlene of Oceanside, CA; aunts, Myrtle Rath of Denison, IA, and Evelyn Houston of Missouri Valley, IA; close cousins, Norman Christensen and wife, Karen of Denison, IA, Jocelyn Hulsebus of Kansas City, KS, and numerous other cousins and many, many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Francis and Violet Keating. Mrs. Houston was formerly of Omaha, NE and Denison, IA. She was a talented artist and designer and loved art and music. She was employed with Nebraska and New Mexico Blue Cross/Blue Shield for 30 years. Rosary will be recited Monday, December 28, 1998, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. NE. Services will be held Tuesday, December 29, 1998, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Deacon Al McLane, officiating. Per her wishes, cremation will take place after services. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, Monday, December 28, 1998, 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Make a Wish Foundation of New Mexico, 5301 Central NE, Suite 203, 87108 or Sandia Hospice, 5740 Osuna NE, 87109.
