Obituary for Geha

Emaline C. Geha, 87, who had so many friends and relatives that only God could count the number, went to be with her Lord after dying of congestive heart failure at Lovelace Hospital on Friday. Emaline, known as"Grandma", is survived by a daughter, Ann Corn of Las Vegas, NV and her children, Robby and wife, Cliffa of Amarillo, TX and Jason and Leigh Ann of Las Vegas, NV and by her son, Richard and his wife, Linda and their children, Susan George and husband, Paul Tashjian of Tijeras, Tom Geha and his son, Rhone of Portland, OR, Cathy Eckert, her husband, Maj. Joe Eckert, their son, Ricky and daughter, Amy Emily of Colorado Springs, CO and James Geha and his wife, Kelly and son, Gabriel. She is also survived by a brother, Jimel Barrack; sister-in-law, Evelyn Barrack, both of Albuquerque; and numerous nieces and nephews, plus hundreds of cherished friends who made her last years on earth as comfortable as possible. Emaline came to Albuquerque in 1943 from Trinidad, CO, her birthplace. She and her late husband, George, owned and operated several grocery stores in Albuquerque until the mid-1960's. She later was assistant manager of Margo's LaMode in Corondao Center. She was a longtime member of Queen of Heaven Parish. Rosary will be recited Sunday, September 27, 1998, 7:30 p.m., at Hillcrest Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 28, 1998, 11:30 a.m., at the Church of the Risen Savior with Father Paul Baca, Celebrant. A reception will follow the Funeral Mass at Glory Hall, 2421 Wyoming NE, to celebrate Grandma's life on earth and entry into her new life to be with the loved ones who preceded her to heaven.
