Evie E. Murphree, 101, a resident of Albuquerque since 1975, and formerly of Houston, TX, died on Sunday, September 20, 1998. She is survived by her daughter, Helen M. Long of Albuquerque; daughter-in-law, Gwendolyn Murphree of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Nancy Long, Marisa and Max Sanchez, and Alexis and Jessica Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold E. Murphree, Sr.; sons, Harold E. Murphree, Jr., and Edward E. Murphree; and son-in-law, Worth Long. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Albuquerque Manor for their thoughtfulness and tender care given to Evie during this last year of her life.
