Laura Jane Avolio passed away after a long illness at UNM Hospital on Friday, September 18, 1998. She resided in Albuquerque for 20 years, after moving here from Buffalo, New York. She is survived by two brothers, Lou Avolio of Albuquerque and Richard Avolio of Underwood, Indiana, along with numerous nieces and nephews and special friend, Helen Petropoulos. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 1998 from 10:00 a.m. till 11:00 a.m. The funeral service is to immediately follow the visitation and will be held at Sandia Funeral Care, 7601 Wyoming Blvd, NE, Albuquerque at 11:00 a.m., with Reverend Tom Salmon officiating. The interment will be at Fairview Memorial Park. The family request in lieu of flowers, memorials be directed to The Kidney Foundation.
