Amelia Hindi, 77, a resident of Duran, NM, passed away on Friday, June 12, 1998. She is survived by her husband, Samuel Hindi of Duran, NM; sister-in-law, Delores Vicente of Vaughn, NM; nieces, Alice Marcilla, Delores Madril; nephew, Joe M. Vicente; great-nieces and nephews, Tina, Lisa, Krista, Teresa, Joseph, Lance and Tessa. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 13, 1998 from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave. SE. Rosaries will be recited Saturday, June 13, at San Juan Catholic Church, Duran NM at 7:00 p.m., and Sunday, June 14, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Vaughn, NM at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 15, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Vaughn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Nabay Hindi Jr., Moneer Hindi, Jamil Hindi, Andy Cordova, Rick Gallegos, Joseph Garcia, George Del Curto and Jade Gallegos. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate that donations be made to to the New Mexico Diabetic Association, 717 Encino Pl NE, Alb, NM, 87102.
