Obituary for Utley

Marina E. Utley, 78, a resident of Rio Rancho for the past 18 years, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 1998. Marian was born April 18, 1920, the daughter of Alfred and Sally Johanson Brown in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She had been in the Civil Air Patrol and she served as a Candy Striper, working in hospitals during WWII. She worked for Honeywell Manufacturing Co. before retiring. Marian was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard L. and Gordon A. Brown. She is survived by her husband, Gordon of Rio Rancho; children, Geoffrey L. Utley and wife, Lisa of Manteca, CA, Sylvia L. Rodriguez and husband, Joseph of St. Paul, MN, Gregory A. Utley and wife, Kathleen of Aurora, CO, Sherrill A. Carlson and husband, Jon of Rosemount, MN; one sister, Jean A. Brown of Minneapolis, MN; and four grandchildren. Her service will be on Monday, July 20, 1998 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd., at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho, with the Rev. Walter F. Smith III officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to ones favorite charity. Arrangements by Vista Verde Mortuary.
