Gertrude"Trudy" Rowe, 82, of Zanesville, OH, died Wednesday, July 8, 1998. Born March 30, 1916 in Clarksburg, WV. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star, Order of White Shrine, Order of Amaranth, Amrou Caldron 23, Daughters of Mokanna, Daughters of the Nile, Sunshine Club and Widows of Masons. She was also a member of the Pepper Birds of Firestone Corporation. She was self-employed small business person all her life and was an avid golfer and bridge player. She has lived in West Virginia, Ohio, Cuba, Liberia, West Africa, Puerto Rico, and Albuquerque, as well as many other locations. Survived by stepson, Michael E. Rowe of California; step-grandson, David Rowe of Colorado; niece, Donita D. Palmer; seven sisters and two brothers, including, Dorothy E. Palmer, Robert F. Barr II, Mary Meyer, Georgia Mitchell, Ruth Kennel, Alberta Richardson, Madge Myer, Rachel Spicer, Richard F. Barr, all of Ohio, and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Robert F. Barr I and Addie A. Barr, and beloved husband, Charles E. Rowe. Graveside services will be held Monday, July 20, 1998 and 3:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Park (Menaul and Edith). Arrangements made by Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors.
