Sophie G. Nelson (nee) Vigil, 92, of Phoenix, AZ, died June 19, 1998. She was the daughter of Eslavio Vigil and Sophia Garcia, who wee descendents of Primeras Familias de Nuevo Mexico. Survivors include her daughter, Aletha Malone, Dolores Schnatz and Sharon Weymouth; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Cremains of Leo Nelson, Sophie's husband, who died in November of 1997, will be buried with Sophie, as they requested. Services will be held at the graveside at Mount Calvary Cemetery on July 21, 1998 at 11:00 a.m.
