Dominica Sanchez, 84, beloved mother, grandmother and sister, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 1998. Mrs. Sanchez was a lifelong resident of New Mexico; she was born on July 9, 1914; a parishioner of San Jose Catholic Church. She is survived by five sons, Victor and wife, Susie, Ralph, both of Firebaugh, CA, Lawrence, Dickie, Max and wife, Lori, all of Albuquerque; four daughters, Dolores Maestas and husband, Alfonso, Dora Garcia and husband, Lawrence, both of Albuquerque, Helen Sanchez of Madera, CA, Catalina Sanchez of Santa Clara, CA; 26 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Maria Lucero, Rita Lopez, Margaret Pena and husband, Freddie, Georgia Sena and Lenora Lopez, all of Albuquerque; one brother, Ramon Lopez also of Albuquerque; and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. Visitations will be today, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited this evening, 7:00 p.m., at San Jose Catholic Church, 2401 Broadway SE, Albuquerque. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, 10:00 a.m., also at the church. Interment will follow at San Jose Catholic Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Freddie Pena, Joe Salas, Anthony Contreras Sr., Anthony Contreras Jr., Leroy Gonzales and Dickie Sanchez. Honorary bearers will be Robert Valdez, Eric Sanchez, Desi Chavarria and Jimmy Allen. For floral assistance, please call 243-5222.
