Obituary for Adams

Glen L. Adams, 81, passed away Monday, July 13, 1998. He was born April 9, 1917 in Vigo County, IN. Glen enlisted in the US Navy in June 1938. He served in the Pacific during WWII. Glen later joined the Naval Reserve and he served 20 years of duty. He also retired from civil service at Kirtland AFB. Glen was a member of the Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge, No. 669, F & AM, Scottish Rite, and Murat Temple of Indianapolis, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ared and Garnet Adams, two sisters, and four brothers. Glen is survived by his wife of 52 years, Irene; daughter, Dona Liberty of Belen; son, Dennis and wife, Janice of Moriarty; five grandsons, Robert Adams and wife, Melissa of Edgewood, Bradley Adams and wife, Christina of Albuquerque, Lance Liberty of Albuquerque; Jason and Donald Funk of Albuquerque; granddaughter, Jennifer Lyons and husband, Roger of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Ruby Lewis of Indianapolis, IN; and many loving nieces and nephews. Services will be held Wednesday, 12:00 noon, at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. Interment will follow services at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, Tuesday 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
