Obituary for Cohen

Diane Cohen was born April 4, 1921 in Glasgow, Scotland to Bertha and Max Goldman. During World War II she left school to work as a furrier making flight jackets for the RAF. She married Phillip Cohen who was serving in the Navy in 1944 and came to the US in 1945. On the death of her beloved husband, Phil, she took over as owner and manager of Adrian's House of Fashion in Evansville, IN. In 1983, Diane moved to Albuquerque. She worked at Foley's and the Adobe Rose selling furs. She is survived by her daughter, Adrienne Hein; her son, Dr. Mark Cohen and daughter-in-law, Susan; and her grandchildren, Erica Hein, Rebecca and Brandon Cohen; an aunt, Jean Goldman; and cousins, Bernard and Carol Graham, all of Toronto, Canada. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be sent to the David Spector Shalom House or to B'Nai Israel Synagogue or Jewish Family services. A Memorial service will be held at a later date. Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave. SE, in charge of arrangements.
