Obituary for Mobberley

David John Mobberley, 75, died at his residence in Albuquerque, Tuesday, December 1, 1998. He was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. David was a lieutenant in the Canadian Army with the 7th Reconnaissance. He landed at Juno Beach on D-Day, June 6, 1944. David served in France, Belgium, and Germany. He left Canada for Honolulu, HI. David worked for Theo H. Davies which was one of Hawaii's BIG FIVE firms. He later became Manager Hawaiian Islands for Qantas Airways until he retired in 1981. Upon retirement, he moved to Albuquerque and he became an active golf member of the Four Hills Country Club. David is survived by his wife, Margaret of Albuquerque; son, Steven J. Mobberley of San Francisco; daughter, Maile Williams; son-in-law, Randall B. Williams; grandchildren, Ford and Summer of Orinda, CA; and brother, Bruce Mobberley of Chasta, MN. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Friday, December 4, 1998, 4:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Pastor Rick Donaho officiating.
