Obituary for Scott

Walter R. Scott, devoted and beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away peacefully with his wife and family at his side, Tuesday, December 1, 1998. Mr. Scott was born in San Bernardino, CA 64 years ago. He is survived by his loving wife, Ruby; son, Don; daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Fred Bouchard; granddaughters, Tara and Gina Bouchard, Leah Scott of Albuquerque; sister, Shirley Cline; brothers, Stanley and Sue, Don and wife, Peggy, Tom and wife, Joanne, Charles and wife, Frieda, Benny, Harry and wife, Jackie, Jimmy and wife, Brenda all of California; brother-in-law, Efren Valdez; sisters-in-law, Juanita Cox, Genevieve and husband, Bill Montoya of Albuquerque; godsons, Gerald Montoya of California, Walter M. Scott of Nevada; numerous nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his loving family. He loved to travel, fish and golf; he retired after 20 years from the United States Air Force in 1971, he also retired from the Federal Protective Service in 1996. A rosary will be recited this evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary, on the corner of 8th and Iron. Final viewing will be Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary; with graveside services to follow at 2:30 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
