James L. Lawrence, age 66, a resident of Belen, passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 1998. He is survived by his mother, Alva Sanders of Morris Chapel, Tenn.; sisters, Janice Swank and husband, Larry of Corrales, NM, Judy Hampton of Sopchopey, FL; brothers, Charles Douglas and wife, Janet of Estancia, NM, Allen Douglas and wife, Rita of Belen, NM. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, December 4, 1998 at 10:00 a.m. at Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave. SE. Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave. SE, in charge of arrangements.
