Bettie Kemper died November 17 in Lake Oswego, Oregon, at the age of 83. She was born in Rusk County, Texas. Mrs. Kemper's husband of 37 years, Charles H., died in 1977. After living in Albuquerque for 35 years she moved to the Portland area two years ago. She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Miller of Quray, CO; her son, Ken of Lake Oswego, OR; two granddaughters; and a great-granddaughter. A Memorial service was held at the First Baptist Church of Alameda, where she was a member for many years. Inurnment was at Albuquerque's Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
