Phil Maes, 52 years old, died November 24, 1998. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Mary Maes; two sons, Phil Jr. and Jody, who had the utmost respect and love for their dad; three grandchildren who he adored, Carol, Jonathan (Rudy) and Moriah; two sisters, Antonia Martinez and Emma and Johny Maldonado; mother and father-in-law, Juan and Emilia Chavez; three brothers-in-law, Joe and Jose Nieto, Steve and Lorraine Nieto, Jesse Chavez, two sisters-in-Law, Patsy Chavez and Frank Marquez, Debbie and George Rosas, Debbie called Phil Dad. Also four favorite nieces, who he grew up with and helped care for, Betty Medina, Judy Bergamo, Margaret Rael, Isabel Ruiz, several nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him. Rosary November 27, 1998, 7:00 p.m. at San Jose Church. Funeral Mass 10:00 a.m. Burial at San Jose de Armigo Cemetery. Pallbearers, Nene Chavez, Jesse Chavez Jr., Randy Chavez, John Anthony Maldonado, Daniel and Ray Atencio. Honorary Pallbearers, Isaac Chavez, Jesse Chavez Sr., Alvin and Henry Chavez and George Rosas.
