Obituary for Nelson

Annie Dee Nelson, 76, a lifelong resident of New Mexico and a resident of Albuquerque since 1930, passed on Monday, December 13, 1999. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ralph A. Nelson of the family home; daughters, Sally Ann Green and husband, Harvey of Albuquerque and Bonnie Rae Neel and husband, Duke of Bosque Farms; granddaughter, Stacy Apodaca and husband, Ray of McIntosh; grandsons, Paceson Neel of Albuquerque and Dustin Neel of Rio Rancho; great-grandson, Brent Ashby of McIntosh; brother, DeWitt Tucker and wife, Ruth of Albuquerque; and sister-in-law, LaVonne Valdez and husband, Jesse. Mrs. Nelson was born on May 30, 1923 in Thoreau and attended Albuquerque High School, graduating in 1941. Dee married Ralph Nelson in March 15, 1942. They were Harley Davidson dealers from 1946 to 1959, in Roswell and Ft. Worth, TX. Dee and Ralph owned NMC Construction from 1959 to retirement in 1993. Most recently, they worked with their daughters at G and N Designs. Dee was a licensed private pilot and rode motorcycles for fun. Dee was active in all of the Nelson businesses while helping to raise and love all of her children. She was a member of University Church of Christ. Services will be held Wednesday, 1:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Lynn Huff officiating. Private interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
