Mrs. Delphina (Phina) Saavedra Cordova, born April 29, 1940 in Kingman, Arizona, died December 17, 1999 in Phoenix, AZ. She was preceded in death by her mother, Anne Lee Lovato Saavedra and her father, Frank Saavedra. She is survived by her husband, Emilio Cordova; her daughter, Ann Abeyta; one sister, Lydia Saavedra; one brother, Orlando Saavedra; sisters-in-law, Sylvia Saavedra and Lydia Matoff; one niece, Sherri Gordon; one nephew, Jeff Saavedra; grandnephews, Trevor and Travis Gordon; grandnieces, Taylor and Cayden Gordon; uncles and aunts, Richard and Bertha Lovato, Joe and Margaret Lovato, Stella and Florian Giron, Eliseo and Jenny Saavedra, Clorinda Montoya; and numerous cousins and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Cordova will be held on Thursday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Glenn Giron, Pat Giron, Ernie Montoya, Larry Mendoza, Matthew Garcia and Patrick Giron. A Rosary for Mrs. Cordova will be recited on Wednesday evening, 7:00 p.m., at the Sacred Heart Church. Arrangements by the Salazar & Sons Mortuary, 400 Third St. SW.
