Obituary for Baca

Herman M. Baca, 84, a lifelong resident of New Mexico, passed away on Saturday, December 18, 1999. He is survived by his sons, Lorenzo Baca and wife, Connie of Belen, NM, Joseph Baca and wife, Josie of Rio Rancho, NM, Raymond R. Baca and wife, Leah of New Delhi, India, Michael S. Baca of Albuquerque, Anthony Baca and wife Cecilia of Belen, NM and Jude Baca and wife, Susan of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Valerie, Joseph Jr., Elizabeth, Laura, Juanita, Michelle, Angela, Michael and Adam; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Stella Baca of Albuquerque, Tillie Proffer and Daisy Ayers, both of California and Lucy Baker of Las Vegas, NV; sister-in-law, Susie Baca of Belen, NM. Mr. Baca was preceded in death by his wife, Andrea O. Baca, grandson, Jude Baca Jr., granddaughter, Melissa Baca, brother, Herman J. Baca and a sister, Irene Sanchez. Mr. Baca retired from the Santa Fe Railroad in the mid 1970's after 33 years service. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. His family will remember him as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who was very dedicated to his entire family. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 22, 1999 at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, December 23, 1999 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 1818 Coal Place SE, with Father Bob Chabot, celebrant. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd NE. Pallbearers will be his sons, Lorenzo, Joseph, Raymond, Michael, Anthony and Jude Baca, grandson, Joseph Baca and John Gros. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd NE on Wednesday, December 22, 1999 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
