Obituary for Garcia

Joe Frank Garcia, 70, a lifelong resident of New Mexico and 40 year resident of Albuquerque, died Monday, December 20, 1999. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Lorraine M. Garcia of Albuquerque; daughter, Jolene Ann Stelmach and husband, Larry; granddaughter, Mikaela Rose Stelmach; grandsons, Austin Cole Stelmach and Tanner Grant Stelmach, all of Grand Junction, CO; mother, Tana Garcia of Albuquerque; brothers, Jesse Garcia and wife, Anna Mae of Albuquerque, Art Garcia and wife, Joyce of Albuquerque and Louie Garcia of Ozark, AL; sisters, Jennie Casaus and husband, Ernie of Albuquerque and Mary Crespin and husband, Max of Tucumari. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Lauren Marie Stelmach. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Garcia worked for Creamland Dairies for over 35 years. Joe was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and family man. He adored his grandchildren and had a passion for working on various outdoor projects, especially for his family and friends. His caring ways, his guidance, and his generosity will long be remembered. A celebration of Mr. Garcia's life will take place Thursday, December 23, 1999, 9:30 a.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Pastor Rick Donaho officiating. Cremation will follow.
